so....i've reached a age where death is foreseeable...that not meant to sound tragic, just kinda practical....i wonder..looking at all the books in my shelves...is there time to read them all....things like that...i started logging each day with a photograph...this made possible by the gift of a digital camera from my kids this Christmas....they knew i was upset that i killed my old 70 buck Cannon 35mm , but wanted to bring me up to the new millennium...so it provides an instant response...so i got the thinking about just logging 1 photo a day....what this does in essence is drive a focus to find something worth capturing each and every day...it opens your eyes...it is a positive....yeah yeah, each days a gift sort of thing....but put yourself in a mindset that tomorrow might be the last day...that makes today kinda special don't it...it's really that simple.....then how come we don't get it....or we do get it, how come we don't keep it in our focus?
another different thing for our generation...we get to look back on our lives thru the web,social networks...what you will...it's good and bad...for you throw a former lovers name into the serach and when she comes up your disappointed over how she looks....forgetting that you have aged just as bad or worse.....it was so much nicer to recollect them in our imaginations...where they are just as beautiful as they were those years ago.....so it goes...

Why is the president of the United States being interviewed before the superbowl? Is this an attempt of the American government to have a captive audience...and i am confused and irritated about all this talk of the left and the right, political jabber...wherein all this left right mubo jumbo is the concept of the right thing..as in doing the right thing...not the political thing...the right thing...not the left thing..the right thing...sheesh...i just wanna suck back chilli and beer and have a break from all this jumbo......

and then i read an article by the idiot socio-scientist who is waxing theoretical on love and relationships and how women who are getting involved with men below there socio/economic and educational standards are doomed to fail...and its just like the right left thing out the president's mouth...what has any of this to do with LOVE.....??? Man has been trying to capsulize love since the dawn of man.....heck, now of us knows...we just feel it..it isn't reasonable , quantifiable etc..it is.....it has nothing to do with our education of money...it is beyond comprehension.....do we always have it when we think we do...likely not.....but we must embrace what little we can get of it...for without it...does this hill of beans really have any value?

talk of truth and love the day before Valentine's Day......hmmm...there is a significance there....

so

tomorrow is ground hog day, and it's calling for a foot of blowing snow and a crippled city....there's beer in the fridge, 2 chickens for slow cooking and grandchild to play with ...bring on the snow day!

pity that you southern folks will never understand the magic of a snow day...it's like God is your co-conspirator to stop the world and celebrate.....

and at the end of it all, i love it most, cos it brings out the best of neighbors, of communities, helping each other out with a bit of shovelling here, a bit of a push there... a common purpose....
